Golden Ticket Update: This Golden Ticket Cosplay has been selected to be included in the FotoNostrum Cosplay 50 Exhibition in Barcelona from May 23 – July 31, 2024!

I love Avatar. This Toph Beifong came to Bangor Comic and Toy Con and was an absolute delight to shoot!

I found this Geto Suguru Cosplay at Bangor Comic and Toy Con. At the time I didn’t really know how true to character this Cosplay was. I showed some people that were familiar with Jujutsu Kaisen and they went nuts. When I edited this photo I did some research and wow is it accurate!

I captured this Canary from Hunter X Hunter at ATL Comic Convention 2024. The Cosplay is just spot on and the backdrop really matches the character.

This Golden Ticket Cosplay has been selected to be included in the FotoNostrum Cosplay 50 Exhibition in Barcelona from May 23 – July 31, 2024!

I am thrilled to announce that I am having my first solo International Cosplay 50 show at FotoNostrum, the Mediterranean House of Photography in Barcelona, Spain which is the largest photo-only gallery in Europe. The opening of “COSPLAY DEL FENÓMENO A LA FOTOGRAFÍA” or in Catalan/English “COSPLAY FROM THE PHENOMENON TO PHOTOGRAPHY” is May 23, 2024 at the FotoNostrum Gallery. Of the 333 images I submitted, the gallery curated 118 of them to display. The photos will be on display from May 23 to July 31, 2024. In addition 15 Cosplayers have generously agreed to send their beloved Cosplays across the ocean to be put on display next to their images.

I am thrilled to have already photographed Cosplay conventions in thirty-two states, providing me with the opportunity to capture some of the most incredible Cosplays in the world! My Cosplay 50 Project led to the Cosplay 50 App and Cosplay50.com, a totally free / ad-free media-sharing and social media platform designed around Cosplayers. Please tell your fellow Cosplayers about this once-in-a-lifetime exhibition as well as Cosplay50.com. Just as important, please tell every Cosplay convention about the project as I still need eighteen states and many conventions (hello SDCC and D23) are incredibly hard to get into. This is a passion project for me, and I want to be a part of connecting the Cosplay community around the world.

How perfect is this Original Toad from Mario Bros. that we met at FanX in Salt Lake City? Toad was part of our Princess Peach Group. I have one more Toad to post and then there will be the group photo!

This Tanjiro Demon Slayer Cosplay won 2nd in the Group Contest at FanX in Salt Lake City! It’s hard to believe, but Tanjiro and Nezuko Kamado just started Cosplaying.

I was honored to host this Queen Elizabeth I Cosplay at FanX in Salt Lake City. Talk about royalty… MrsDowdle’s Cosplay won in the Master’s division last year. Zoom in everywhere in this Cosplay – there is such immaculate detail!

Anyone looking through my Cosplay photography history will see that I am heavily biased toward Cosplays that show the face as I love capturing all the nuances that an expression can relay. Every once in a while, however, a Cosplay presents itself that leaves no doubt that it must be photographed. At ATL Comic Convention 2024, this Dutch from Halo ODST 3 became one of those Cosplays. I would try to tell you how it was made, but only enforce_props could even begin to do the build justice. Wow!

Who recognizes this adorable Cosplay from Animal Crossing? I photographed this Daisy Mae Cosplay from Animal Crossing at ATL Comic Convention 2024. Those are turnips in her basket on her head that she sells.

I love this Jack Box Cosplay from the restaurant Jack in the Box which, for all of you local to me in Ohio, is mainly a restaurant chain out West. I captured him at FanX in Salt Lake City as well as his wife whom I previously posted as, appropriately enough, Wendy. Such a cute couple – they met at a con, became friends, and later tied the knot.
