I photographed this beautiful Original Lady In Waiting from the Italian Renaissance at the Delaware Renaissance Faire. I was hoping to find creations such as this at Delafaire, which was our first Renaissance Fair, and was awestruck at the detail and beauty we found there. There were no shiny lights and huge props here 😊 I hope we can get to more Renaissance Fairs in 2024!!

I photographed this absolutely amazing Gold Armor Wonder Woman Cosplay at Indiana Comic Convention. This is the second time I have had the opportunity to photograph the amazing Kim_is_Possible, the last time being at Louisville SuperCon as The Queen of Hearts, equally as amazing I might add.

This Navi Cosplay from The Legend of Zelda has gone through several transformations before coming to FanX in Salt Lake City and joining us in the studio. Video game Cosplays can be so much fun!

The March Hare was part of the Alice in Wonderland group at FanX in Salt Lake City. All of these outstanding Cosplays were created by melissapope702!

I photographed this stunning Dongbaek from Limbus Company Cosplay (from a Korean Game) at Bangor Comic and Toy Con. I get asked a lot if I know all of the Cosplays that I photograph, and the answer is, “No way!” However, I know when someone absolutely amazing walks by me at the convention, I practically pounce on the unsuspecting Cosplayer to get them to come into our room to be photographed. I love it when we have a little extra time at a convention to try out some new techniques! Here, we used some mylar over some black paper to mimic a reflection. This Cosplay took a month to make and is entirely handmade – even the shoes are made out of woven clothes… adapted from traditional Japanese shoes.

The full name of this Cosplay from the Delaware Renaissance Faire is “Lord William Ross British Naval Captain”. The name is perfectly befitting a Cosplay this regal. The colors are spectacular and the feather provides icing on the cake!

The King of Hearts is another incredible Cosplay from the Salt Lake City Alice in Wonderland group at FanX in Salt Lake City. MelissaPope702 did a great job making all of the Cosplays for this incredibly large and coordinated group. Take a look at her Queen of Hearts here!

I photographed The Lumbering Samurai at the Delaware Renaissance Faire. Delaware was our first Renaissance Faire and most definitely not our last. I was floored at the unique variety of Cosplays that we found there! This Cosplay was all made by hand – designed and created by the_lumbering_blacksmith, a woodworker… imagine that. He usually attends conventions as a vendor, lucky me he was in full costume at the faire. In thirty-one states I have never seen anything like this and when people ask if I get bored doing this project the answer will always be NO… Cosplays like this are why the project will never get old to me. This is so insanely creative, incredibly unique, and perfectly executed. It is always a pure joy to meet Cosplayers like this and a privilege to photograph them!

✨Vanishing act not included, but our Cheshire Cat’s Cosplay magic sure is!

Captured first at FanX, and now dazzling the crowd at FotoNostrum in Barcelona, this Cosplayer’s talent is as enigmatic as the cats themselves. 🎭

I love to see interpretive Cosplays like this Cheshire Cat from FanX in Salt Lake City. When she struck this pose, all I could think of was “Alice in Wonderland Meets The Matrix”! This Cosplay is amazing in so many ways!

I photographed this White Rabbit Cosplay from Alice in Wonderland at FanX in Salt Lake City, another from that amazing group. I love how simply perfect this Cosplay appears. I am sure quite a bit of hard work went into it behind the scenes though.
