I have to admit that I am hooked on the Cosplay/body paint combinations that we photographed at Florida Supercon! This Hellboy Cosplay fit so well on the model, Carlos Lopez. He really brought this character to life alongside the artist from earlier posts, Avi Ram (Season 2 Skin Wars), who never ceases to amaze me with his work. 🌟🔫 Magical items may lose their studio sheen, but they gleam like Mami Tomoe‘s destiny in Photoshop!
(*Many times, the studio lighting causes the glow to disappear from a “magical” item. Luckily, it’s pretty easy to make items glow in Photoshop.) Her glowing charm withstands the darkest con halls!

When photographing at con events I seem to always have someone come in with a magical item that needs to glow. Many times, the studio lighting causes the glow to disappear. Luckily, it is pretty easy to make items glow in Photoshop. This is Mami Tomoe from Madoka Magica with a Soul Gem photographed at Colossalcon in Ohio.

I usually spend my time on the convention floors searching for eye-catching cosplays that stand out from all the others. At Rose City Comic Con in 2019, however, it was not only the cosplays the Disney Villain group wore that stood out it was their hilarious personalities as well. I have to admit it was a bit hard for me to focus at times as all of us had giggling fits and tears from laughter. This is the unforgettable Cruella De Vil from the group.

Born with the natural genes of Smee, the humorous boatswain in the original Peter Pan, Larry Matteson was such a pleasure to bring into the studio at Rose City Comic Con.

This was the first Harley Quinn I photographed at a convention, and I was speechless. You can see why, right?! I photographed lipsticknroses at Colossalcon at Kalahari Resorts in Sandusky, Ohio. If you ever have the chance to attend, go! One of my favorites.

At Wizard World Philadelphia, I had a group of Game of Thrones cosplayers who honestly just blew my mind with how incredibly authentic they were. It was like I was on set at the show! Jennifer Thompson, pictured here as Daenerys Targaryen, was simply breathtaking.

Imagine my surprise at seeing Lynda Carter’s Wonder Woman double at Colossalcon. I am sure everyone will agree that the resemblance is simply uncanny. I was even more surprised that she recognized me and said that I had photographed her before. I first met her at Wizard World in Cleveland this year where she was the Blonde Doll from Bloodbourne. She makes these amazing costumes and fully embodies the character to a level that leaves her fans speechless.

I am so fortunate to have spotted this amazing Tinkerbell Cosplay at Wizard World Chicago. She was headed out for the day, so we only had about five to ten minutes together, but I was thrilled to get any time as she was simply stunning!
