I photographed this other-worldly Blue Diamond from Steven Universe at Indiana Comic Convention. I love how the skin color, eyes and hair jump off the white background here. It’s amazing how some Cosplays/models just command a room, no pose needed. It’s easy when you come in our room because really all we need is one good pose to create one amazing photograph. What ever pose you do on the floor when people ask for a photo is all we need from you. We build the lights and background around you!

Every once in a while a Cosplay comes around that takes your breath away and it’s not necessarily the biggest, boldest one at the Con. I had that reaction to this Pearl from Steven Universe Cosplay. The emotion that I felt emitting from Pearl while I was photographing her truly had me quivering. There should be a word when photographers describe that feeling… I haven’t gotten a lot of rest lately – maybe there is… thoughts?

When I saw this White Diamond Cosplay at Emerald City Comic Con my breath was taken away.  Stunning, right?  White Diamond is from the show Steven Universe.
