Oh my gosh! There is so much to say about this Magical Girl Griffon Cosplay, which is a mashup of a Magical Girl and a Griffon. This Cosplay is based off of the character design from Madoka Magica. This was all done to match the convention theme of the weekend: Cryptids!

It’s our final day at Tsubasacon. Our first shoot of the day is Tifa from Final Fantasy VII. The Cosplay is really spot-on. It was a great way to start the day!

Immediately after encountering Wendigo at Tsubasacon, we got another legend to capture: Mothman! This completely original Cosplay interpretation was dark and spooky from head to toe, with a splash of red for the eyes.

Tsubasacon seems to be the Convention of heavy Cosplays. This Geralt from The Witcher 3  is  wearing the Grandmaster Ursine Armor which weighs in at 60 pounds! The chain mail alone weighs 25 pounds. The armor is real and completely hand made. It’s strong enough to protect it’s wearer in the Armored Combat League that he is a member of!

Tsubasacon brought Wendigo to me. According to legend, a Wendigo flesheater is created whenever a human resorts to cannibalism to survive. Spooky and just in time for Halloween! Luckily, we made it through the shoot with all of our skin intact.

I photographed this incredible Philza from Dream SMP at Tsubasacon, our last Golden Ticket convention of the year. The Dream SMP is an invite-only survival multiplayer (SMP) Minecraft server. Philza (user ‘Ph1LzA‘) is one of the players. This Cosplay was heavy. Part of that weight was due to the motorized wings. The wings actually moved up and down via motors!

Everyone loves Pokémon. Sylveon is of course one of the best Eevee evolutions, which I was lucky enough to capture at Tsubasacon, our last Golden Ticket convention of the year. This Cosplayer fit the personality of Sylveon like a glove!

This convention is being held at the Charleston Coliseum & Convention Center in Charleston, WV. We are located in Room 205. We will be walking throughout the convention handing out Golden Tickets to amazing Cosplayers to come in for a free 30 minute photo shoot.

I photographed this Cosplay of Blair from from Soul Eater at Tsubasacon, our last Golden Ticket convention of the year. Blair is actually a cat witch that was mistaken for a real witch. Cat or not, this Cosplay is amazingly cute!
