AniMaine is Maine's celebration of animation: a small, volunteer-run anime convention founded in 2011 and run by the non-profit Animaine Inc., which also covers video games, international animation and graphic novels and is known for its strict anti-bootleg stance.
The 2026 edition (November 6–8, theme: Western) returns to the Best Western Merry Manor Inn in South Portland with longtime guest, voice actor and DJ Greg Ayres and the Boston idol group Kirameku Melody, who host the Idol Showcase. Expect fan-run panels, the AniMaine Masquerade with cosplay and performance categories, a juried Artist Alley and Dealers' Room, and gaming.
