Central Illinois Horror Con 2026

Central Illinois Horror Con is a one-day horror convention in Peoria, Illinois, run by The Obsidian Society, a committee of local horror fans and sponsors with backgrounds in haunted attractions, film, collectibles and event planning. It started in 2025 at Exposition Gardens and moves to the Holiday Inn & Suites Peoria at Grand Prairie for its second year.

The 2026 show is Saturday, October 3 (10am–6pm) with celebrity guests Felissa Rose (Sleepaway Camp, Terrifier 2) and Dave Sheridan (Doofy in Scary Movie), who take audience questions in the Behind the Screams panel moderated by the Slash Sisters. The day also has a special FX makeup demo, a panel with the team behind the horror series Arcadia: Origin of Arkosios, horror movie trivia, horror vendors and artists, and a cosplay contest for kids (13 and under) and adults. Advance tickets are $10 ($15 at the door), and children 6 and under get in free.
