Bakuretsu Con is Vermont's original anime and video game convention, founded by area fans in 2001 and sponsored by the non-profit Anime Society of Vermont. The family-friendly weekend draws about 600 attendees to the Hampton Inn in Colchester for guests, vendors, an artists alley, panels and workshops, a cosplay contest and cosplay chess, LARPing, domestic and import video game rooms, game shows, board gaming, a Japanese-inspired cafe and a manga library.
The 2026 convention runs November 20–22. Guests have not been announced yet.
