Philcon, run by the Philadelphia Science Fiction Society, is the world's first and longest-running conference on science fiction, fantasy and horror, started in 1936. It offers programming on literature, art, TV, film, anime, comics, science, gaming, costuming and music, plus an art show and auction, a dealers' room, tabletop gaming, a writers' workshop, a young writers contest, concerts, dances and a masquerade costume competition.
Philcon 2026, the 90th-anniversary convention, runs November 20–22 at the DoubleTree by Hilton in Cherry Hill, New Jersey, with Principal Speaker Charlie Jane Anders, Artist Guest of Honor Donato Giancola and Musical Guest Sarah Pinsker, and hosts Eric Flint's 1632 MiniCon with special guest Charles E. Gannon.
