Here is the in-character Boosette from FanX in Salt Lake City!!! In my head, she’s still my little princess, just with a bit more mischievousness!

This Boosette from FanX in Salt Lake City follows our Bowsette from Wyoming Pop Culture Con. I was done editing this Cosplay a while ago, but the model release had “Booette” on it and some of the crew were insisting that was a typo and should be “Boosette”. Luckily, our detective sleuth Sue figured it out by finding her signature on the board – it was indeed “Boosette”!

With that problem solved, I was about to post this wonderful photo of this perfect princess when my husband saw the photo and said “you can’t post that photo – don’t you have any with her tongue out?” With all of the research on Bowsette, Boosette, and Booette (yes, there is a Booette too), everyone else had gotten to know these characters except for me.

Now, I always ask the Cosplayers if their characters have any poses. For some reason with Boosette I kept thinking “perfect princess” despite the fact that, yes, Boosette had indeed been sticking her tongue out at me quite a bit! Even after reviewing my photo shoot with her, I glossed over those photos and still found my perfect princess and edited that photo!

Well, I can’t let my edit go to waste so I’m posting my Perfect Princess Boosette. Look for the next post for a more mischievous in-character version with a tongue to match that cute little ghost!

Bowsette from Wyoming Pop Culture Con is the first in Super Mario Bros. miniseries of Golden Ticket posts! Look at how fun the Cosplay is – it was even more fun when I learned some of the backstory!

This Zombie Princess Peach Cosplay is one of the most memorable Cosplays that I have seen to date. Princess Peach is from Nintendo’s Super Mario Brothers, while the zombie twist is provided by the amazing Madison Wilkinson. At Wizard World Iowa I had back-to-back appointments with a Princess Peach Cosplay and this Zombie Princess Peach Cosplay, who coincidentally were both named Madison.

It has been a challenge for me to find a Daisy from the Nintendo game Super Mario Brothers cosplay to photograph. I have approached probably 5-10 Cosplayers in my convention journey and all ended up being under 18 without a parent to sign the needed model release. Finally, at Florida Supercon last year I photographed my first Daisy and it was well worth the wait.

Florida Supercon 2020, which was postponed from May to July of this year, has now been postponed until sometime in 2021. Sadly, think there will be more announcements like this coming on our way. Be safe and stay healthy everyone!
